The Sennheiser MKH 416 is a compact RF‑condenser shotgun microphone designed for film, broadcast and location recording. Its pressure‑gradient capsule and short interference tube deliver high directivity with excellent rejection of side and rear noise, making it ideal for outdoor production and challenging acoustic environments. The RF condenser principle provides outstanding immunity to humidity, ensuring reliable performance in adverse climatic conditions. With low self‑noise, high sensitivity and strong consonant articulation, the MKH 416 is a long‑standing industry standard for ENG, film dialogue, voice‑over and broadcast applications.

The microphone features a rugged matte‑black metal body and transformerless, fully floating balanced output. It ships with a microphone clamp, foam windshield and protective pouch.
