The K‑Tek KSSM is the compact version of the industry‑standard KSM shock mount, offering the same rugged construction, strong microphone grip and excellent vibration isolation in a shorter form factor. Designed for ENG, documentary and location sound work, the KSSM uses two flexible polymer mounts spaced 1 3/8″ (3.5 cm) apart to securely hold most shotgun microphones.

The KSSM maintains the proven durability and performance of the full‑size KSM while reducing overall length for tighter setups or smaller microphones. Its machined aluminum frame provides a stable, long‑lasting structure, while the stretchable polymer mounts adapt to a wide range of shotgun mic diameters.

The closer 1 3/8″ (3.5 cm) spacing provides firm, centered support, minimizing handling noise and mechanical vibration transfer whether booming or using the mount on a stand. The polymer material maintains consistent tension without sagging, unlike traditional elastic‑band shock mounts.

A swivel mount with a standard 3/8″‑16 thread ensures compatibility with boompoles, stands and grip accessories.
