The K‑Tek KSM is a rugged, industry‑standard microphone shock mount widely used by ENG crews and location sound professionals. Known for its strong grip, durable construction and excellent vibration isolation, the KSM securely holds most shotgun microphones using two flexible polymer mounts spaced 2″ (5 cm) apart.

Detailed Description

Built around a machined aluminum frame, the KSM provides a stable and reliable platform for shotgun microphones in demanding field environments. Instead of elastic bands, the microphone is held by two stretchable polymer mounts that adapt to a wide range of mic diameters while maintaining firm, consistent tension.

The polymer mounts offer superior vibration dampening, reducing handling noise and mechanical transfer when booming or operating on a stand. Their 2″ (5 cm) spacing ensures balanced support along the microphone body.

The KSM includes a swivel mount with a standard 3/8″‑16 thread, ensuring compatibility with boompoles, stands and grip accessories.
