The K‑Tek KPTA Mighty Sidekick is a bottom‑mounted transmitter adapter module for Mighty Boom boompoles. It features an upward‑facing male 3‑pin XLR connector designed for use with plug‑on wireless transmitters. The module includes a removable rubber bottom and is shaped to fit common boom‑pole storage systems such as the Boombox and Boom Caddy. It attaches to the threaded sleeve at the base of any Mighty Boom pole. Made in the USA.

A K‑Tek internal coiled cable kit (KPCK9, KPCK12, KPCK16, KPCK20) is required; the TA3F connector from the cable kit plugs directly into the KPTA. Once connected, the module simply screws into place—no soldering required.

Detailed Description

The KPTA module enables Mighty Boom poles to be used with plug‑on wireless transmitters by providing an upward‑facing XLR interface at the base of the pole. This configuration keeps the transmitter safely positioned and improves cable management during production.

Machined from aluminum and finished with K‑Tek’s updated black anodizing, the KPTA offers improved grip, durability and a smooth tactile feel. The integrated sleeve and collar ensure a secure fit on all current Mighty Boom models (KP9, KP12, KP16, KP20).

Weighing 7.7 oz (218 g), the module also contributes a small amount of counterweight, helping to balance the pole when working with heavier microphones or accessories.
