The K‑Tek KP9 Mighty Boompole features a collapsed length of 28″ (71.2 cm), an extended length of 9′ (2.75 m), and weighs only 1.4 lbs (0.63 kg). This 6‑section graphite boompole includes a removable headpiece for easy cable reconfiguration without soldering. The top attachment is a 3/8″‑16 male thread, and the bottom end is fitted with a removable rubber bumper. Compatible with the KPCK9 cable kit and KPCCR bottom module for a coiled‑cable configuration with a side XLR exit. Made in the USA.

Detailed Description

The KP9 Mighty Boompole is built for modern production environments where rigidity, low weight, and fast handling are essential. Its redesigned removable headpiece allows quick conversion between uncabled, internally coiled, or transmitter‑mounted configurations — all without soldering. After loosening a standard set screw, the headpiece simply threads on or off, enabling rapid cable installation or removal.

K‑Tek’s updated Klassic design increases rigidity while maintaining the lightweight characteristics of the original tubes. The addition of a sixth section and wider tube diameters improves stiffness, handling balance, and cueing precision.

The locking collars have also been refined. The traditional captive collet now features a thicker, smoother surface for more controlled extension. A new anodizing process and oval‑shaped exterior divots provide improved grip and smoother operation. The tube finish has been optimized for quieter handling, and each Mighty pole is hand‑burnished to reduce handling noise.

Compatible with the KPCK9 cable kit and KPCCR bottom module for a coiled‑cable option with a side XLR exit.
