The K‑Tek KP10V Mighty Boom Boompole features a collapsed length of 35″ (88.7 cm), an extended length of 10′ (3.1 m), and weighs only 1.5 lbs (0.68 kg). This 5‑section graphite boompole includes a removable headpiece for easy cable reconfiguration without soldering. The top attachment is a 3/8″‑16 male thread, and the bottom end is fitted with a removable rubber bumper. Compatible with the KPCK10V cable kit and KPCCR bottom module for a coiled‑cable configuration with a side XLR exit. Made in the USA.

Detailed Description

Replacing the well‑known K102 Klassic boompole, the KP10V retains the 5‑section heritage and familiar handling while incorporating the modern engineering improvements of the Mighty Boom series. Compared to the 6‑section Mighty Boom models, the KP10V features a slightly smaller outside diameter on the bottom section, offering a familiar feel for operators who prefer the classic K102 ergonomics.

The redesigned removable headpiece allows fast conversion between uncabled, coiled, or transmitter‑mounted configurations. After loosening a standard set screw, the headpiece threads on or off smoothly, enabling cable installation or removal without soldering.

The Mighty Boom series is engineered for increased rigidity while maintaining lightweight performance. Wider tubes and refined construction improve stiffness, handling balance, and cueing precision.

The locking collars have been upgraded with a thicker, smoother surface for more controlled extension. A new anodizing process and oval exterior divots provide improved grip and smoother operation. The finish between the tubes has been refined so the pole glides open and closed quietly, and each Mighty Boom pole is hand‑burnished to reduce handling noise.

Compatible with the KPCK10V cable kit and KPCCR bottom module for a coiled‑cable option with a side XLR exit.
