The Beyerdynamic TG I53 is a compact electret condenser instrument microphone designed for a wide range of studio and live applications. With its cardioid polar pattern, high SPL capability and carbon‑fibre‑reinforced housing, the TG I53 delivers detailed, natural sound with excellent transient response and durability. “The TG I53 is suitable for miking up a variety of instruments… particularly suited as an overhead microphone for drums and percussion, for the hi-hat, woodwind and brass instruments, guitars and other stringed instruments.”
