The K‑Tek KP10VCCR Mighty Boom Boompole features a collapsed length of 38.5″ (97.8 cm), an extended length of 10′3″ (3.16 m), and weighs 2.4 lbs (1.08 kg). This 5‑section graphite boompole includes a removable headpiece for easy cable reconfiguration without soldering. It comes pre‑installed with the KPCK10V internal coiled cable featuring the Mighty Boom Right Angle connector, and the KPCCR bottom module providing a male 3‑pin XLR side exit. The top attachment is a 3/8″‑16 male thread, and the bottom end is fitted with a removable rubber bumper. Made in the USA.

Detailed Description

The KP10VCCR continues the legacy of the classic K102 boompole while incorporating the engineering improvements of the Mighty Boom series. Retaining the 5‑section design of its predecessor, the KP10VCCR also features a slightly smaller outside diameter on the bottom section compared to the 6‑section Mighty Boom models, offering familiar ergonomics for long‑time operators.

The redesigned removable headpiece allows fast conversion between uncabled, coiled, or transmitter‑mounted configurations. After loosening a standard set screw, the headpiece threads on or off smoothly, enabling cable installation or removal without soldering.

This model includes the KPCK10V internal coiled cable system with the Mighty Boom Right Angle connector. Built on a Neutrik base, the connector features thicker‑gauge wiring, aluminum shielding for improved RF protection, and a robust strain‑relief system. The connector’s orientation can be adjusted by unthreading and rotating the housing.

The Mighty Boom series is engineered for increased rigidity while maintaining lightweight performance. The locking collars have been upgraded with a thicker, smoother surface for more controlled extension. A new anodizing process and oval exterior divots provide improved grip and smoother operation. Each pole is hand‑burnished to reduce handling noise.

Compatible with the KPCK10V cable kit and KPTA transmitter adapter module.
