The K‑Tek KMT is a rugged microphone shock mount featuring a protective tube‑style aluminum cage and a true 4‑point suspension system based on K‑Tek’s KSUS polymer suspenders. Designed for demanding ENG, documentary and location sound work, the KMT provides exceptional vibration isolation while firmly securing most shotgun microphones.

Detailed Description

The KMT offers enhanced microphone protection thanks to its machined aluminum cage, which shields the microphone body while maintaining a lightweight structure. Inside the cage, two KSUS polymer suspenders—spaced 2.5″ (6.4 cm) apart—hold the microphone securely in place. These suspenders stretch to accommodate a wide range of shotgun microphones and provide long‑lasting, sag‑free shock absorption.

The 4‑point suspension design minimizes handling noise, mechanical vibration and low‑frequency rumble, making the KMT ideal for both booming and stand‑mounted applications. Its robust construction ensures reliability in harsh field conditions while maintaining precise microphone positioning.
