The K‑Tek KBP Boompole Patch is a lightweight handling‑noise reducer designed for professional boom operators. It provides a smooth, silent buffer between the operator’s hands and the boompole, significantly reducing handling noise without the need for gloves. The patch wraps securely around the pole using a Velcro edge and remains in place during operation or when the pole is parked.

Detailed Description

The KBP Boompole Patch offers a simple yet highly effective solution for improving boompole handling. By adding a soft, low‑friction surface between the hands and the pole, it enables quiet, seamless movement—ideal for long takes, dynamic booming and situations where gloves would be impractical.

The inner surface is made from very soft artificial fur, ensuring smooth and silent gliding along the pole. The exterior is covered with artificial black leather (P‑leather), providing a secure, comfortable grip. The patch adds virtually no weight to the setup at only 19.5 g (0.68 oz).

Compatible with all K‑Tek boompoles as well as most third‑party models, the KBP fits pole diameters up to 40 mm (1.6″). Its Velcro fastening keeps it firmly in place during use.
