Interchangeable Input Cable Options for eSMART DUO
To deliver maximum versatility in demanding audio workflows, Audioroot offers five user‑installable input cable harnesses for the eSMART DUO smart power distributor. These modular cables allow for easy customization to suit your preferred power sources — whether legacy batteries or modern USB‑C.
Installation is quick and easy — only a TX8 and a TX10 screwdriver are required.
Available Cable Options
DUO‑CAB‑TT (Pre‑installed by default) Features 2 × TA4M connectors (8 cm length), compatible with Switchcraft‑format smart batteries. Ideal for conventional smart battery setups.
DUO‑CAB‑CC Includes 2 × Audioroot smart battery cups (30 cm length) for direct battery mounting and a cleaner rig configuration.
DUO‑CAB‑TC A hybrid input cable with 1 × TA4M connector (8 cm) and 1 × smart battery cup (30 cm). Perfect for mixed or transitioning setups.
DUO‑CAB‑TU Combines 1 × TA4M connector and 1 × USB‑C PD input for integration with both smart batteries and USB‑C power delivery sources.
DUO‑CAB‑CU Features 1 × smart battery cup and 1 × USB‑C PD input, allowing flexible powering from modern USB‑C adapters.
USB‑C Power Delivery Input
The USB‑C PD input allows the eSMART DUO to be powered from a USB‑C Power Delivery (PD) supply. A minimum of 15V PD profile is required for operation. For optimal performance, a 20V/5A PPS‑compatible USB‑C power supply is recommended, enabling the DUO to run at 17.0V.
At 17V, your equipment draws power primarily from the USB‑C source, preserving your 16.8V lithium‑ion battery for backup. In case of AC power loss or USB‑C disconnection, the DUO automatically switches to battery power without interruption.
